This policy explains how personal data collected through this website is processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).

2. What data is collected and why
The contact form collects only the data you provide (name, email, optional phone number and the content of your message), for the sole purpose of answering your enquiry or handling your appointment request. This site does not use cookies or identify visitors. We only count, anonymously and in aggregate, how many times each appointment button is pressed (Doctoralia, Top Doctors, WhatsApp, online booking or each hospital's website), in order to know which route patients prefer; this count uses no cookies and collects no data that could identify you, and no profiling is carried out.
If you use the online appointment booking system, your name, phone number, ID number, email and insurance details are also collected, together with the chosen hospital, date and time, for the sole purpose of registering your appointment request in the practice diary and arranging it with the corresponding hospital.
Important: the form is not intended for clinical information. Please do not include medical reports or health data in your message; such data will be processed, where applicable, within the healthcare context of your consultation.
3. Legal basis
The legal basis for processing is your consent, given by ticking the acceptance box and submitting the form (art. 6.1.a GDPR). You may withdraw it at any time.
4. Recipients and processors
Data is not disclosed to third parties except where legally required. The following providers are involved in delivering the service, acting as data processors or independent controllers:
- FormSubmit (form-to-email delivery service).
- Google LLC (Gmail as the email inbox; Google Calendar as the diary where online appointment requests are registered; Google Maps only if you choose to load the interactive map, which may set Google cookies).
- Hostinger (website hosting).
Some of these providers may carry out international data transfers covered by the EU standard contractual clauses or other valid safeguards.
5. Retention period
Data is kept only for as long as necessary to deal with your enquiry and, thereafter, for the statutory limitation periods.
6. Your rights
You may at any time exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and portability by writing to yrpcardiologia@gmail.com, attaching proof of identity. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (AEPD).
7. Security
Appropriate technical and organisational measures are applied to protect personal data, including encrypted transmission over HTTPS.
8. Updates
